Experience
Conducting disputes concerning derivatives
We represented one of the largest banks in Poland in dozens of disputes with entrepreneurs concerning derivatives, including a number of proceedings before the Supreme Court. The legal arguments we developed were accepted by the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, shaping a favourable line of jurisprudence for our client.
Defending the client's interests in a dispute over agency commission before the CJEU
We represented one of the largest banks in Poland in a dispute with a former agent over commission claims. Our representation also included participation in proceedings before the CJEU in connection with a preliminary ruling. The CJEU agreed with our legal arguments and, as a result, issued a landmark ruling for the commercial agency market in the EU.
Handling a dispute over a bond issue
We represented the Polish branch of a foreign investment bank in a dispute concerning a breach of a bond issue agreement.
Representation in consumer disputes concerning financial instruments
We advised and represented financial institutions in dozens of disputes with clients – investors. The disputes concerned financial instruments offered for investment purposes.
Representation in a dispute over a bank guarantee in a construction contract
We provided advice and representation to a foreign construction company in proceedings against a state-owned company. The case concerned the effectiveness of a bank guarantee.
Handling a dispute over contractual penalties for gas consumption readings
We represented an entrepreneur in a dispute with a state-owned company concerning the calculation of contractual penalties in connection with a contract for gas consumption readings.
