In response to businesses’ requests, the Ministry of Climate postponed the launch of the deposit return scheme to 1 October 2025. This provides additional preparation time and a valuable opportunity to understand better how the mechanism will affect the market and the environment.
The deposit return scheme is a way to reduce waste and encourage consumers to return beverage packaging. Recycling will give bottles and cans a new life!
