The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection has drafted an amendment of the act on competition and consumer protection. A purpose of the drafted provisions is to strengthen the institutional position of the President of the OCCP, to ensure the OCCP an access to information which may constitute a bank or fiscal secrets and to enable a transfer of information between the President of the OCCP and FSA (KNF). In addition, the amendment provides that the President of the OCCP will apply the EU regulation on addressing unjustified geo-blocking and other forms of discrimination based on customers’ nationality, place of residence or place of establishment within the internal market (2018/302).
